Committees
Membership for committees is open to the entire student body. Committees meet at the discretion of the committee chair. Standing committee chairs are elected by the Senate; Sub-Committee, and Ad-Hoc chairs are appointed by the Executive Branch. All committees meet in the Illinois Student Senate Complex located on the second floor of the Illini Union, past the RSO cubicles.

Academic Affairs
The Committee on Academic Affairs deals with issues directly related to the quality of education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Weekly meetings are held every Sunday at 7:00pm at the ISS Complex in the Illini Union. Please direct any questions regarding this committee to Chairman Halko at aa-iss@illinois.edu.
Campus Affairs
The Committee on Campus Affairs deals with issues directly related to the campus and student life of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Weekly meetings are held every Thursday at 7:00pm at the ISS Complex in the Illini Union. Please direct any questions regarding this committee to Chairman Bolden at ca-iss@illinois.edu.
Community and Governmental Affairs
The Committee on Community and Governmental Affairs deals with social and governmental issues of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and its surrounding communities. Weekly meetings are held every Sunday at 4:30pm at the ISS Complex in the Illini Union. Please direct any questions regarding this committee to Chairman Hughes at cga-iss@illinois.edu.
Financial Affairs
The Committee on Financial Affairs oversees the financial activities of the ISS and may research and make recommendations for those of the University of Illinois. In addition, the Committee shall consider all fund allocation requests. Weekly meetings are held every Monday at 6:00pm at the ISS Complex in the Illini Union. Internal Affairs
The Committee on Internal Affairs coordinate nominations to the various campus committees and boards in collaboration with the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. In addition the Committee shall consider all resolutions proposing an amendment to the Bylaws or supporting a referendum for amendment of the Constitution for the Illinois Student Senate. Weekly meetings are held as determined by the chair at the ISS Complex in the Illini Union. Public Relations
The Committee on Public Relations deals with the awareness of the Illinois Student Senate and its programs among the students, staff, and faculty of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Campus Safety
The Committee on Campus Safety deals with issues related to the safety of students, staff, and faculty of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Cultural, International, and Minority Student Affairs
The Committee on Cultural, International, and Minority Student Affairs deals with issues related to the cultural awareness, diversity, tolerance, inclusivity, and discrimination of students. Environmental Sustainability
The Committee on Environmental Sustainability deals with issues related to environmental concerns and sustainability. Graduate and Professional Student Affairs
